The Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) ‘s general body elects a Governing Council of at least 16 CEOs. These council members represent the association’s members and oversee the KBA Secretariat’s operations, programs, and budget. John Gachora, the Group CEO of NCBA, is currently serving as the Chairman of KBA and Chair of the Governing Council.

The KBA Governing Council is nominated to represent three categories – Large, Medium-sized, and Small-sized banks, as defined by the KBA articles of association. The incoming Council members are as follows:
